About Deborah
Besides Deborah’s education and experience in healthcare, she brings considerable knowledge and experience to her counseling practice from other areas:
- While working as the school nurse in a school for students with autism, Deborah acquired an understanding of the stressors and issues confronting the families of children with special needs. She now works with those parents and caregivers in the counseling setting to help them develop necessary coping strategies for themselves and to strengthen the family unit.
- Having been a "military wife" to a husband in the Navy Reserve for twenty-nine years, Deborah has the utmost respect and admiration for our men and women in uniform. She is also well acquainted with "life in the service.” She has lived through deployments, reintegration of the service member into the family, and other issues surrounding military service. She considers it a great privilege to work with active duty, inactive, and retired service members to help them resolve issues and reach their potential with the aid of counseling.
At Next Chapter Counseling Deborah combines her life experience with her education and training to provide a multi-faceted counseling experience for her clients. She has a sincere love for people and a belief in their innate strength and power to change, to heal, and to reinvent themselves at any age. She believes that people truly are capable of writing the next chapter of their lives in a new fulfilling way, whatever their life story may have been. Contact her to begin your journey....
